Ceraria longipedunculata Merxm. & Podlech (Didiereaceae, formerly Portulacaceae) is endemic in the Kaokoveld Centre in southwest Angola and north-west Namibia. Further shrub- to tree-like species similar in habit and likewise small leaves are Ceraria namaquensis (Sond.) H. Pearson & Stephens and Ceraria fruticulosa H. Pearson & Stephens , but both occur much further south.
The recently described Ceraria kaokoensis Swanepoel (2007) and Ceraria kuneneana Swanepoel (2008), both endemic to the Kaokoveld, as well as the Angolan Ceraria carissoana Exell & Mendonça possess larger, flat leaves.
